My name is Jason Pfeiffer. I’m a professional musician based in Ontario, Canada specializng in folk music played on Irish flute & whistle. Welcome to my music studio blog.
When I began learning to play traditional Irish music in the late 1990’s in Philadelphia, PA, I was very lucky to be part of a community of musicians who always encouraged new players.
Information, playing tips, bits of technique and resources were shared freely and advice given liberally. And while I’d been playing music since I was 10 years old, it wasn’t until then that I began to learn what making music was truly about: people and the connections created between them.
In that same spirit, I’d like to offer what I’ve found along my own musical journey. May you enjoy what you find here.
