My name is Jason Pfeiffer. I’m a musician based in Ontario, Canada specializing in folk, traditional and improvisational music played on Irish flute, whistles and mountain dulcimer.
When I began learning to play traditional Irish music in the late 1990′s in Philadelphia, PA, I was very lucky to be part of a community of musicians who always encouraged new players. They also showed me that real music-making is about the people involved and that playing music together can be a very powerful way to build bridges and connect. While I’d been playing music since I was 10 years old, I didn’t get that lesson for a while.
At the same time, I began to realize that there can be a very profound spiritual aspect to making music (and all forms of creative endeavour). Exploring how those two things work together has become an ongoing process for me, one which has enriched my life and helped provide direction.
In that same spirit, I’d like to offer what I’ve found along my own journey – musical and otherwise. May you enjoy what you find here.

Peace & Blessings,
Jason

The ability to make music is a gift.
Therefore, music-making is for the benefit of others.”
